Maal Hijrah 1431

The Islamic New Year is a cultural event which Muslims observe on the first day of Muharram, the first month in the Islamic calendar. Many Muslims use the day to remember the significance of this month, and the Hijra, or migration, Islamic prophet Muhammad made it to the city now known as Medina. Recently, in many areas of Muslim population, people have begun exchanging cards and gifts on this day, though this is not commonly done. I wish all the best Maal Hijrah 1431 to my all Muslim friends.

Quotation Of The Day For Me

Beauty is all very well at first sight; but who ever looks at it when it has been in the house three days? Hmmm...... Make sense...

Roti Tissue

This is Roti Tissue a thin crusted plain or slightly sweet bread roll into cone shape-like. Its in the middle month of Ramadhan . The craze of having breakfast with roti canai and teh tarik should be put aside until after Hari Raya or Idil Fitri. The Cafe still closed for the whole month of Ramadhan.

Teh Tarik

Teh Tarik or Pull Tea I think. The most common drinks in Malaysia. The preparation is like pulling but the aim is to make the tea frostie and reducing the hot temperature of the boil water.

Back From Circumcised

This two brothers are smiling as they just came back from a clinic after circumcised (bersunat). Well done my boys. The big day was on Monday 1st. June 2009. A little bit of crying and PSP Handheld Game got them going through. Yes, I witnessed during the whole operation using a smart clamp. How very smart it is, no stitches just a little bit of pain during anasthaetic injection.
The boys are now recovering and by Saturday will go back to the clinic for uninstallation of the smart clamp.

The Boss In Black

Stray cats all over town. Some people are abandoning their cats strategically. Of course it must be near a restaurant, shophouses or a hotel backyard. This black cat will be my companion and to become my bodyguard, ambassador and anti rodent controller. Hopefully (he) will stay with me throughout this bad economy. I will name him Boss In Black.

National Principles ( Rukun Negara )

I need to refresh my pledge to my beautiful country that is Malaysia ( The Land Of The Kings ). The last time was done a very long time ago when I was in primary school. The politician in Malaysia should recite the pledge once a week.

The Rukun Negara or National Principles as below:-

WHEREAS OUR COUNTRY MALAYSIA nurtures the ambitions of:

  • achieving a more perfect unity amongst the whole of her society;
  • preserving a democratic way of life;
  • creating a just society where the prosperity of the country can be enjoyed together in a fair and equitable manner;
  • guaranteeing a liberal approach towards her rich and varied cultural traditions; and
  • building a progressive society that will make use of science and modern technology.

NOW THEREFORE WE, the people of Malaysia, pledge to concentrate the whole of our energy and efforts to achieve these ambitions based on the following principles:

  • BELIEF IN GOD
  • LOYALTY TO KING AND COUNTRY
  • THE SUPREMACY OF THE CONSTITUTION
  • THE RULE OF LAW
  • COURTESY AND MORALITY
